Ardagh Glass has been committed to reducing the weight of its glass containers for over two decades and has made significant investment in new technologies such as Narrow Neck Press and Blow (NNPB) in order to facilitate a successful weight reduction programme.

The results have benefited many customers. One example, is our standard 70cl spirit bottle, which recently won the 'Sustainable Pack Award' in the 2007 UK Packaging Awards. In 1998 this weighed 450g, but now weighs only 298g, representing a weight reduction of a third in just seven years. This was achieved without any loss of product quality.
